The Berean Notebook is a Chrome extension that helps you take notes and look up Bible verses in a side panel. This page explains what data the extension uses and how.
The Berean Notebook does not collect, sell, or transmit any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
All notes you type, your selected Bible translation, and your page tabs are stored locally on your own device using Chrome’s built-in storage (chrome.storage.local). This data:
When you type a Bible verse reference (for example, “John 3:16”), the extension sends that reference to bible-api.com to retrieve the verse text. This is the only external request the extension makes.
The Berean Notebook contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking scripts of any kind.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
